Cozumel Mexico Vacation Rental Owner

My name is Jenny , I am originally from the US Midwest and have been living in Cozumel for the past 25 years. I first came to Cozumel with my grandfather over 3 decades ago when I was learning how to scuba dive. That initial trip to the island left me indelibly marked with the memory of it’s magic and beauty and began what would become a lifelong love of the Mexican Caribbean culture and history, it´s inhabitants, their communities and traditions as well as a passion for exploring and preserving the unique and rich natural resources found here.

When I first visited Villas Colibri, I really liked the fact that it was located in the heart of downtown Cozumel surrounded by authentic local establishments, family-owned “tienda” stores, corner fruit stands and “taquerias” all within walking distance of the main plaza and waterfront. Another positive for me is that it is located on the main avenue and has off-street parking so it is easy to park your rental car or moped, find a taxi (local price), use the public transit system, and quick to find if you just want to catch a ride with a friend.

Inside the front gate I was immediately attracted to the extensive shared garden and pool area, as well as the villa verandas which reminded me of growing up in a small town with porches where people got to know their neighbors. I named the villas, Villas Colibri (hummingbird in Spanish), in honor of the Colibri´s who jump from flower to flower in the garden every day.

Within each villa, we have tried to create a comfy, laid-back space with colorful Mexican decor to be your home away from home as we say in Spanish, Mi casa es tu casa “My home is your home”, a place to make memories with your friends and family during your stay in Cozumel.
