For tourists, San Diego is the image of America they picture from the movies…clean, wide streets, lush palm trees, beautiful homes and emerald green lawns. Well, it’s all that and more!
For starters, San Diego has incredible beaches. Some of them are considered to be among the most beautiful in the USA.

One of the main attractions in San Diego is Coronado, a peninsula that creates a lagoon between itself and the continent. Coronado Bridge, as well as the peninsula itself, is famous for the stunning skyscraper views of San Diego. You can visit the Coronado Museum of History and Art, which displays the development of local art, history and traditions. Coronado also features the house of writer Frank Baum, where he created his masterpiece The Wizard of Oz.
Another must-see is the famous Hotel Del Coronado. It’s architecture is more than impressive. It was built in the late 19th century by hand. The spectacular Victorian architecture is constructed of wood, and it is very brightly colored. Some call the hotel the true landmark of Coronado.
Balboa Park is a wonderful place to spend your free time. It is the ideal spot for picnicking, walking or jogging. The park also features intriguing old buildings from the Spanish era, gardens and several museums.

Another star attraction in San Diego is Sea World near Mission beach.
The Old Town of San Diego is another great spot where you can feel and witness the authentic spirit of the city. Everything looks as it was when the first settlers came, and actors clothed with costumes from that time walk around to make it even more real.
If you’re into nature, I highly recommend the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge and the estuary of the River Tijuana.
