Planning a trip to Washington?
You must visit the Washington State Fair!
It’s the single-largest attended event in the state, and welcomes more than a million guests to the Puyallup fairgrounds each year.
The Washington State Fair runs 20 days, and features awesome bites, attractions and all sorts of unique entertainment.
This upcoming year the fair will run from Aug. 31 to Sept. 23.
For instance, you can experience 11-foot beetles battle, a 22-foot stick insect rub its wings together, and even witness a 15-foot caterpillar become a butterfly.
You can visit with superheroes at the Superheroes Headquarters Exhibit and hang out with Spider-man, Green Goblin, Robin, Cat woman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Batman, and Superman.
Each night the fair features thrilling concert shows with legends like The Beach Boys, Hank Williams Jr., Lady Antebellum, Nickle back, and Earth, Wind and Fire.
Jam out to your favorite classic artists while indulging in juicy BBQ ribs, a refreshing beer from the sports bar, or endless fairground sweets and treats. The fair even promotes nutritious eating, and offers a healthy bar.
The state fair welcomes over 700 vendors selling unique, handcrafted clothes, jewelry and goods. You’ll find one-of-a-kind treaures here.
There’s an Artists In Action exhibit that features painters, potters, weavers, bead makers, basket weavers, and many other artisans at work. You can also shop for interesting handmade creations, and even attend how-to presentations and fine art shows.
A seed-planting patch, fair farm, and a piglet palace are included for the little ones and tons of kid-friendly rides and games are available also. The fair also features a rodeo, a parade, and cattle drive.
The Washington State Fair even dedicates a full day to Latin culture featuring Latin music, entertainment and food.
It’s truly a memorable experience, and we invite you to visit.
